Given that I flip to the acknowledgements before reading chapter one in a new book, it's no surprise that my first haiku emerged from my last page. Authors have a unique opportunity to thank and credit supporters in print, but wouldn't it be great if everyone said out loud the names of people who've stood with them? Don't wait until asked to deliver a eulogy. Call. Write. Knock on a door, then step two metres back. Say thank you.
